DimeFAQ:DIMEchat
From DimeWiki
DIMEchat is a new EzTorrent feature available to DIME's VIP members.
To access DIMEchat, hover over "Forums" on the DIME menu bar. Then select "chat" from the drop down menu. Alternatively, you can use this URL http://www.dimeadozen.org/chat.php. When you do this, you'll automatically join the torrents_talk chatroom.
Two other chatrooms (or channels) are available, artists_talk and tech_talk. To join these channels, click on the appropriate link just above the chat screen, or type in /join artists_talk or /join tech_talk.
You can carry on one private conversation with one other DIME member at a time. To do this, either type in /privmsg username or click on the username in the right pane, then on "private message" in the pop up window. This will open up an additional chat window for your private conversataion.
Your DIME user ID is also your DIMEchat nick. You cannot change your nick.
PLEASE NOTE: The DIME team cannot offer user support via DIMEchat. As always, if you have a DIME related question, problem, or issue, write to dimemods@dimeadozen.org. Please write from the email address that's listed on your DIME User Control Panel and give your user name. If you're writing about a specific torrent, also give us the torrents-details.php link to that torrent's details page on DIME, or its ID number.
